✉️ Postcard from FabLearn/Constructionism and ASTC
The Facilitating Computational Tinkering team had a blast connecting with new and old friends at FabLearn/Constructionism and ASTC!
If you attended any of our conference sessions, we’d love to hear from you:
If you are open to chatting one-on-one or in a small group, please fill out this form and we will follow up to find a good time.
If you’d rather share feedback by answering a few questions online, you can do that here.
Here are a few resources from our sessions that we wanted to share with the community:
OctoStudio, a new and free mobile coding app to create anytime, anywhere, developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab
At FabLearn, we held an interactive symposium where we shared posters and demos featuring our collaborative research and design process to develop new explorations areas, OctoStudio, and our research on what supports facilitators in practice. Here are links to some of our posters:
Our Equity zine, which we created to support educators to individually and collectively reflect on what equity means to them in practice, is now available to download here: https://www.facilitatingcomputationaltinkering.org/resources/equityzine
Read our introduction to the zine here: https://www.creativecommunities.group/blog/equity-zine
Resources from all workshops and sessions will eventually be available on our project website: facilitatingcomputationaltinkering.org
Reminders: we are excited to share and connect at the Connected Learning Summit this week. See our previous newsletter for a list of sessions and workshops that our team is involved in.
